On 20 October, I was part of an audience of, approximately, 170 members of the Sydney Jewish Community who attended the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies Plenum at which the NSW Attorney-General, Gabrielle Upton, gave an address on the subject of Race Hate Law.

The Attorney-General reported that the NSW Government has instituted proceedings to amend the laws concerning racial vilification. One of the grounds for this move was that the current legislation was ineffectual.

The success of these reforms does, however, in part, depend on the discovery of the perpetrator/s especially the users of the Internet.
