On a busy Sunday in the Perth Jewish Community, people gathered at the Maccabi grounds to celebrate Pink Sunday, which is dedicated to all those touched by breast cancer. This was a collaboration between NCJWA WA & Maccabi WA to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and this was the third year the event was held. Jill Green, NCJWA WA Vice President welcomed everyone , and thanked our partners ,particularly Joan Hillman, Maccabi WA President for her collaboration & energy.

Kim Witkin addressed the audience and spoke of her sister Cherie’s journey with breast cancer in 2006. Kim wrote a beautiful book – Butterfly Blessings – inspired by the tragic loss of her sister and aimed at young children to help   them deal with someone in their family being affected by cancer.

Thank you Kim, for the informative, practical and interesting talk.
