Danielle Jaku-Greenfield
Board Member
Following some years working in print journalism, Danielle embarked on a career in law and then in mediation. She has focused mostly on family law in both the private and community sectors, including regional, rural and disability communities. She has also written and published books for children of separating families.
Danielle completed her Master of Laws by thesis in 2007 and has lectured in undergraduate and postgraduate family law, trained future mediators, provided group and individual supervision and still provides ongoing training for lawyers across sectors. She sits on the Australian Mediation and Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (AMDRAS) Board of Directors and the Board
of Sydney University's Mandelbaum House.
Since the Hamas attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 and the ensuing vilification of Jewish people in the diaspora, Danielle has become an accidental, yet passionate, advocate for the Australian Jewish community. She is the oldest grandchild of the Holocaust survivor Eddie Jaku, who wrote the internationally best-selling memoir, The Happiest Man on Earth.
In her spare time, Danielle escapes to the bush or the beach with her husband, three kids and two dogs.
