‘Esther Speaks’ is National Council of Jewish Women Australia's monthly email newsletter. 

 

Its name comes from the passage 4:14 in the Book of Esther, "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

This passage reminds us of our duty and our destiny as Jewish women to speak: speak up and speak out to save our people. Perhaps by extension we might save the world.
