Helen Lewin

Helen Lewin is a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother—and a practicing lawyer. She shares her life with her husband, two children, a daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, and Presley the cat.
Helen has demonstrated a deep and enduring commitment to the Jewish community, serving on the Board of NCJWA Vic since 2016. During her tenure, she has held key leadership roles including Secretary and President. She has also chaired both the Governance and Risk Committee and the Development Committee, and contributed actively to the Advocacy, Finance, and Building Committees.
A qualified lawyer with over 30 years of experience, Helen specialises in commercial law, telecommunications, privacy, and corporate compliance. Her previous roles include Deputy Privacy Commissioner (Victoria), Chief Privacy Officer, and Head of Corporate Compliance at Telstra Corporation. Today, she works as a lawyer and privacy consultant.
Helen is a committed feminist with a passion for advancing Jewish women in Australian society. She is a strong advocate for gender equality and women’s rights, and is deeply engaged in supporting Israel, combating antisemitism, and revitalising Jewish life in Australia.
