The awards will honour outstanding Jewish and non-Jewish women who exhibit strength, resilience, and moral clarity and have made a meaningful difference to the Jewish community and to strengthening the social fabric of Australia. There are four categories:

The Esther Courage Award honours women who have demonstrated outstanding moral courage and principled action.

The Esther Lifetime Contribution Award recognises women whose sustained, long-term dedication has made a significant contribution to community life and leadership.

The Esther Allyship Award recognises non-Jewish women who have demonstrated a genuine commitment to supporting the Jewish community and promoting broader social cohesion.

The Esther Rising Leader Award celebrates emerging leaders who have shown exceptional promise, initiative and leadership potential.

Nominees should have demonstrated one or more of the following:

• Courage with consequence - acting with bravery in situations involving personal, social, or professional risk

• Identity with Intention - owning and expressing Jewishness with dignity, and navigating visibility with strength and purpose

• Influence without authority - creating meaningful change without relying on formal titles or positions of power

• Responsibility to community - stepping forward in moments that require leadership beyond self-interest

• Resilience under pressure - sustained strength and composure in the face of challenge or adversity

• Strategic leadership - demonstrating judgment, timing, and thoughtful action to achieve impact

• Bridge-building & allyship - fostering understanding, connection, and support across communities
